Stefan Roth
I am an assistant professor in the Interactive Graphics Systems Group (GRIS) of the Computer Science Department at TU Darmstadt in Germany. I received my PhD in 2007 from the Computer Science Department at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Before coming to Brown, I was a student at the University of Mannheim, Germany, where I received a Diplom degree in Computer Science and Engineering (Technische Informatik) in 2001. A recent c.v. is available here. My research interests mainly lie in the areas of computer vision as well as machine learning and are focused on statistical models for problems of visual inference. Most recently I developed probabilistic models for low-level vision with applications in modeling natural images and optical flow. Please see my research page for more details. News:
